What is Go T.E.C.H.?

Go T.E.C.H. (Teams Encouraging Campus Health) is an initiative that involves the entire Georgia Tech community in increasing awareness of health and wellness activities on our campus. By joining together we can serve as a catalyst to develop healthy, balanced lifestyles for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

University-wide health coalitions, similar to Go T.E.C.H., are beginning to surface at colleges across the nation. By collaborating with campus stakeholders specifically invested in health-related matters, the Institute will benefit in the following ways:

* Streamline events and programs on campus
* Assess the needs of the Georgia Tech community
* Review health-related policies
* Provide unified communication for campus wellness events and information
 

Benefits of Go T.E.C.H.

• Compile research on the effects of the environment and community on an individual’s health.

• Provide a network for shared resources related to the health of Georgia Tech.

• Inform participants and the larger community of the health status of Georgia Tech.

• Unite departments for the purpose of supporting prevention efforts on campus.

• Place emphasis on research and policy development in order to
  guide program planning.

• Support and build on traditions, programs, and other health-related initiatives at Georgia Tech.

 Mission

The Go T.E.C.H. (Teams Encouraging Campus Health) Coalition is a partnership of departments and organizations dedicated to advancing the health initiatives of the Georgia Tech community.  It is our mission to create a healthier campus that encourages the students, faculty, and staff of Georgia Tech to adopt and maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Through the use of technology, innovation, and collaboration, we aspire to support the academic mission of the Institute and serve as leaders in college health.

Vision

A campus environment that inspires a lifelong commitment to the pursuit of a healthy body, mind, and spirit for all Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff.
