10 Tips to Acing Your Finals (in no particular order)

1. “Triage” your study time. Figure out your weak spots and prioritize. Proportion your study time to how hard the final is likely to be and how well you already know the material. Making a schedule will help you even more to stay on track. Use the calendar on your phone or computer and set alerts and reminders for yourself so you stick to your plan.

2. Study with a group—but only if it makes sense. Nothing like a little peer pressure to get a job done, but make sure that it’s the pressure to study. With the right group, you have friends to keep you on track, a think tank to work through problems and formulas with, and extra notes and resources.

3. Take care of yourself.  During times of high stress, it’s especially important to fuel your body well. Regular eating keeps your metabolism up, nutrient and energy levels stable, and keeps you away from empty calorie vending machine snacks. Bananas and other fruits rank high among the best brain foods. Snacks like almonds, granola, or yogurt are also great options to munch on while you kick back with a Chemistry book.   Click here for more!
